Breeding typical specimens of proper lineage
We believe in line oriented breeding programs, with occasional outcrosses to lines of same strain. We breed within the strain that goes back to Husky-Pak foundation stock thru T'domar and Kodara.
We don't believe in outcrossing as a way to produce healthier dogs, and for this reason, and to retain proper type we prefer breeding medium COI's (10 to 15), outcrossing only to dogs of similar background and phenotype.
Our breeding program is currently based on the Snowlion line (going back to T'domar Kodara stock thru Skyfire and R'Mal) and on the Uyak line.
Most of our dogs have some Nanuke but we don' t plan to increase it in future generations.
We rely on the most updated computer technology to choose the potential stud dogs and in planning the litters, we always run 10 to 15 generations analisys of the coeffcient of relationship, and the ancestor count. These analysis are very useful to understand the origins of the gene pool (which is seldom evident just looking at a 4-5 gen pedigree) and to evaluate the possiblity that the litter will consist of puppies of proper type (of course this is no guarantee about the quality of a litter which largely depends also on several other factors).

This kind of analysys is also very useful to assess genetic issues and the risk of detrimental genes to build up in the planned litters. Useless to say that the pedigree is not enough and we do not breed just based on pedigrees. We try to breed typical specimens of proper lineage, both things being required in our breeding program.
