We carry on a limited, line oriented, high quality breeding program, based on a few selected AKC lines going back to Husky-Pak, T'domar and Kodara foundation stock.
At Bear-Pak, where each and every litter is carefully planned, we breed for form & function, meaning that we breed for type, lineage, health, temperament, and working attitude.
We breed from typey specimens of proper strain, trying to produce healthy, sound, sturdy malamutes, and not fancy show dogs, and this is the reason why our dogs are indeed excellent show specimens, while being proven working dogs and best companions in everyday life.
We don't believe in breeding very open pedigrees as much as we don't care for top winning dogs if they are not of what we believe to be the proper lineage and type, and if they do not meet our strict conformational and temperamental requirements.
We breed for the pleasure of having around us our beautiful mals, to have a good time with them on our ricreational sled dog team, and to carry on the invaluable work and achievements of a few selected and very experienced breeders that contributed so much to the improvement of the Alaskan Malamute breed before us.
