Hopi Point "G" litter - Outcrossing in style

Hopi Point's Grizzly Bear

Linebreeding or outcrossing ?
Keeping and reinforcing the traits so carefully
selected or going out to look for new blood risking to loose your achievements ?
This is a typical question for breeders, but it's sure not a problem
at Hopi Points Kennels in Slovenija, since they always manage to get the best of both worlds.
Outcrossing has become almost an art for Marija Al Faraj that can mix and blend
completely unrelated lines and still keep her type producing outstanding prospects
like the above pictured Hopi Point Grizzly Bear (owner Kirsten Andersen, Mihakias
Kennels, DK ) only one year old and already well known as a show winner and
working dog in Danmark and throughout Scandinavia.

We are featuring here the pictures of three litter brothers (about one year old)from the Hopi Point's
"G" litter out of Snowlion's Anana O Hopi Point "Misty" and Hopy Point Eskimo Bear "Kimi".
Dam and sire are completely unrelated the only exception being some Nanuke in third generation, still
the litter was of very good quality and exceptionally uniform for an outcross.
Hopi Point's breeding philosophy is based on low COI's and anything above 10% is considered
too high a coefficient by Marija al Faraj.
Altough such low COI's may be difficult to deal with she managed in achieving and mantaining thru the years
a well defined line and a type that can be easily recognized, and not only because of the sweetest
temperament and good working attitude.
She has rally achieved amazing results through careful selection of the lines, analysis of specific
and complementary traits of dams and sires and of course....a little bit of luck!
